Eduardo Coutinhois an acclaimed Brazilian documentarian, famous for making a cinema of encounters. Coutinho was able to unfold individual realities as well as Brazilian ones through conversation. On March 20, Playing (Jogo deCena, 2007), considered by many critics as a synthesizing film of Coutinho’s works, will be screened at the UIC Institute for the Humanities. The session will be followed by a Q&A session with Vitor Soster, a PhD student at the State University of Campinas (Brazil) and a visiting scholar at UIC, thanks to The São Paulo Research Foundation (Fapesp).

The cinema session is sponsored by the UIC  Institute for the Humanities, English Department, Department of Hispanic and Italian Studies and the Moving Image Arts Program.
