The Queer/Trans Studies Working Group sponsored by the University of Illinois at Chicago Institute for the Humanities is hosting an event featuring Dr. Ava L.J. Kim.

Ava L.J. Kim is the Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Research Associate in Trans Studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. In July of 2023, she will begin an appointment as Assistant Professor of Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies at the University of California, Davis. She completed her Ph.D. in English at the University of Pennsylvania and her B.A. in Creative Writing at Macalester College. Her work can be found in American Studies and is forthcoming in TSQ.
