Videos of the “Different Archives, Different Histories” conference are now available on the Institute for the Humanities YouTube Channel!  This innovative conference, a collaboration between the Institute for the Humanities and the UIC Library, featured presentations by faculty from UIC and beyond on the importance of archives to cultural understanding.  The conference took place on October 29 and 30, 2020; now you can watch the videos and catch up on anything you missed!

This conference aims to explore conversations that are currently being pursued across a range of disciplines on the importance of archives to cultural understanding. The practice of acquiring, preserving, and administering cultural artefacts is now more important than ever; this conference seeks to expose why archiving has become a topic of urgent intellectual discussion in our schools and communities.
